Gazoo was exiled to Earth from the Moon as punishment for burning Palo Santo as a means to make the moon a brighter and even more tranquil living space. Gazoo insists that there was no harm or intention to draw attention from the people of Earth. 

Gazoo was discovered by a female cop who caught him trying to spread his famous tag “to the moon” on the streets of Bushwick, NY. The terms of his exile require him to make good art and educate the “dum-dums” of Earth with his powerful message that life exists elsewhere. 

He can materialize and dematerialize artwork from a can of paint, paper tape and a pen. He can teleport, freeze time, travel through time, and perform other remarkable feats.

Although his powers are frequently described as "magic," they are more likely based on incredibly advanced science.  The only people who are able to see Gazoo are those who believe in him; animals also can see him.
